Ectopic pregnancy
A pregnancy in which the embryo implants outside the uterine cavity.The most common site of ectopic pregnancy is the fallopian tube.
Egg collection
Eggs are collected from follicles (egg sacs) in an IVF cycle under ultrasound guidance and under sedation or local anaesthetic. In GIFT procedure, laparoscopy is used to collect eggs.
Egg donation
The eggs are collected from one woman are donated to another woman because she cannot produce her own eggs or if there are genetic defects in eggs. It is a licensed treatment in the UK.
Embolisation

Erosion
A cervical erosion is an area of glandular epithelium from the canal of the cervix which creeps out to the outer part of the cervix which is usually covered by skin. It is benign and does not require treatment unless there is bleeding or discharge. It is more correctly called ectropion
