X chromosome
It is a sex chromosome. It is one of 46 chromosomes (23 pairs). The egg contains
XX chromosomes and therefore females have two X chromosomes. The sperm contains
XY chromosomes and therefore men have only one X chromosome. Genetic disorders
involving X chromosomes lead to infertility.
X rays
They are electromagnetic rays used in radiological examinations. It is important
to avoid unnecessary exposure to X rays, because they can be harmful to living
cells. Women who are pregnant must avoid x rays.
